HIGH FIVE

New HIGH FIVE Sport Workshop for Coaches!

This 5-hour workshop is designed for the competitive coach in a club/organization. Aligned with the Fundamentals and Learn to Train stages of Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD), HIGH FIVE® Sport focuses on the social, emotional, and cognitive development and wellbeing of athletes. The training is based in research and has been designed to help coaches with top coaching dilemmas such as dealing with parents, keeping the child's interest, ensuring fair play and an emotionally safe environment.

HIGH FIVE is Canada’s only comprehensive quality standard for children’s sport and recreation programs. It represents a true commitment to quality physical activity and is based on research involving child development experts, recreation and sport professionals, families and leaders. HIGH FIVE is built on the belief that all children deserve to have physical activity experiences that support healthy child development.

Research shows the experiences children have in recreation and sport at an early age carry a life long impact. Positive experiences help children become capable, caring adults who contribute more effectively to the community in the future.
