Squash Ontario Charity Golf Classic

Saturday September 12, 2009 -- The Squash Ontario Charity Golf Classic was held on the beautiful and challenging "Legends Course" at the Lionhead Golf and Country Club in Brampton, ON. The 8th annual event enjoyed a sun-filled day that saw 124 incredibly enthusiastic golfers come out to support the Lee Hanebury Junior Squash Fund while trying their hand at one of the toughest courses in North America. This much-anticipated annual event for squash in Ontario has become a huge success and continues to grow each year through the support of the squash community.

Squash Ontario would like to thank Mark Sachvie – Squash Ontario Vice President Technical and Competitions, Rob Brooks – Squash Ontario Past President and Geoffrey Johnson – Squash Ontario Program Coordinator for their outstanding efforts to make this day so successful. In addition, Squash Ontario would also like to thank Laura Mauer - Squash Ontario Administrative Coordinator, Sherry Funston - Squash Ontario Executive Director, Christina Johnson - Official Event Photographer, the Par 3 Fundraising girls (Cindy Sachvie, Sally Braff) and the Lionhead Golf and Country Club for their efforts as well. Well done everyone!!

The incredible support received from golfers, donors and hole sponsors resulted in us raising $10,000 (NEW RECORD) for junior squash in Ontario. We couldn’t have done it without you!
