Squash Ontario offers memberships to both individuals and squash clubs.

Individual members of Squash Ontario are eligible to participate in provincial tournaments, maintain a provincial ranking, access high performance funding, and receive e-news about events and clinics in the province. 

Individual members may also benefit from our various discount programs with Beretta Farms, PSA Squash TV (25% off), and Squash Skills (50% off).

Any organized squash club, any club having a squash section, any organization or person which charges individual members for squash playing privileges, any school, university or community college where squash players are charged for squash playing privileges, other than a general athletic fee, if any, and any person or organization who owns a squash court, is eligible to apply for full club membership in the Corporation if that club, organization or person carries on squash activities in Ontario.

Any school, university or community college where squash players are not charged for squash playing privileges, other than a general athletic fee, if any, is eligible to apply for associate club membership in the Corporation if that school, university, or community college is located in Ontario.

Any community oriented organization such as a community centre, recreation centre, or a ‘Y’ that has squash facilities, is eligible to apply for associate community membership in the Corporation if that community centre, recreation centre, or ‘Y’ is located in Ontario.

Voting Rights of Members

 

CHARITABLE STATUS WITH TAX RECEIPTs FOR FUNDRAISING PROJECTS

The voting members of the Corporation are Full Club Members, Associate Club Members and Associate Community Members, who shall have one vote per paid-up court at meetings of members.

Member clubs may apply to the National Sport Trust Fund to gain charitable status for their fundraising initiatives. Not available for non-member clubs.

Rules Clinic

Rules clinics are informal introductions to the rules of squash and are designed to provide the average club player with a basic understanding of the rules and of the duties of the marker. They are held in a classroom setting and last approximately 3 hours.  The risk of accident is significantly reduced if your members know the rules. Squash Ontario will cover the cost of the instructor's honorarium and travel. $140.00 charge for non member facility.

SCORE pADS

For league and club tournament play, in pads of 50. $10.00 + HST per pad for non members.

Eyeguard Stickers

These are court door stickers.  They are available in the following formats:

1.  Mandatory
2.  Mandatory for Juniors
3.  Strongly recommended

To non member facility:  $10.00 each sticker

The Squash Ontario website is the first choice of people looking to join a squash facility in Ontario. Club information is listed by region, city and town to make it easy for anyone in the Province to locate a member squash club in their neighbourhood. Only member clubs of Squash Ontario are included in this section.

Defibrillators

Squash Ontario has negotiated a partnership with The Mikey Network to offer members clubs a significant discount on the purchase of a defibrillator for their facility. Significant discount as a benefit of membership

Monthly Mailings

Electronically and direct mail

All tournament, coaching and officiating clinic flyers are circulated monthly for posting on club bulletin boards.  In addition, flyers in pdf format are circulated electronically to all squash professionals and club programmers so they can distribute directly to their members to keep them updated on squash activities.

Squash Equipment Loaner Program

It’s easier than ever to start up a junior program.  Squash Ontario will provide racquets, balls and eyeguards for 2 – 4 week periods.

To Member Facility:  Deposit required but refunded on return of equipment

To non member facility:  $100.00 per week rental charge

Nearby Schools to Clubs Program

The “Nearby Schools to Clubs” program will provide you with comprehensive information which will help you reach out to teachers, schools and school boards in your community.   The information is specific to your club and will save you and your squash professional or programmer hours of time researching and trying to find key school contacts.  It is all right here for you in a CD.

To Member Facility:  Free – benefit of membership

To non-member facility:  $140.00

Courting Schools

This is a program specifically designed to help clubs generate revenues.  The program will show clubs how to effectively utilize down time; increase staff commissions through training and teaching; potentially generate new memberships; and increase community awareness of your facility.

Junior Program
Promotional Posters

These are professional designed advertisements to help promote your junior program – within the club – within the community – through your website – through your newsletters and e-news.

Squash Ontario will provide one personalized poster (club name and contact information) for reproduction.

Inflatable Squash Court

The inflatable court measures

3m(height) x 3.6m (width) x 4m (length)

The inflatable court is a great visual with:

• Bright colours

• Shot targets

• The feeling of being inside a court

• Ability to hit the ball off all 3 walls

To Member Facility – $50.00 for one week rental

To non member facility – $500.00 per week

Inter-Regional League

League play is one of the key programs clubs should consider offering their members.  By entering teams in inter-regional leagues, your club members become a key promotional tool for you – they travel to clubs within the city and in turn, other club teams travel to your club – this is an opportunity to showcase your club to potential new members. Registration fee applies.

Another excellent opportunity to showcase your club within the Ontario squash community; a tournament can be run for any skill level of player, men, women, masters or juniors

The sanction package includes insurance coverage, tournament software with draw maker, one dozen squash balls, design, printing and circulation (mail and electronically) of your tournament flyer to all member facilities in Ontario, protection of your date from competing events, listing and pdf of your flyer on the Squash Ontario website
