January and February was an extremely busy stretch in the province and witnessed many impressive results across all ages and levels. On behalf of Black Knight, Squash Ontario is pleased to award Samantha Cornett, Bruce Marrison, Keira Hickox and George Crowne as this period's Players of the Month.

With the wrap up of the Jesters University League Finals this past weekend, University of Toronto student Evelyn Moorhouse was named athlete of the week! Fourth-year veteran Evelyn Moorhouse led the Varsity Blues women's squash team to a silver-medal finish at the Jesters Championships.

University Squash in Ontario continues to be one of the fastest growing demographics with a record 21 teams taking part in the 2016-17 Jesters University League season.The finals were held on March 18th at the University of Toronto and the RCYC.

Pickering Recreation Centre's homegrown Chris Hanebury has relocated to the West Coast, but his Serious Squash brand is making it's way back to Ontario.  Branded gear, blog articles, and videos, find a much of Chris' shared knowledge at www.serioussquash.com.

At the US Men’s & Women’s Masters Championships,  which like Canada, runs in conjunction with the Closed National Champs, in all, about 11 Canadians and some partners visited the lavish and historic Philadelphia Cricket Club; we stayed out of trouble on Saturday night, and held good representation and respectable placings in Sunday’s finals.

Squash Ontario is seeking a new member to serve on the Board of Directors for 2017 – 2019.  Nominations are due 30 April 2017.

Team Western (1 seed) takes first place at the 2017 Ontario Regional Junior Team Championships at Cedar Springs on March 10-12! Niagara Region (3/4) takes second place, followed my Toronto/Mississauga #1 (3/4) in 3rd place.
