World Squash Day is coming up this weekend and although we are not back to business-as-usual, nothing will stop us from celebrating this great sport!

It is with mixed emotions that we announce Jamie Nicholls, Squash Ontario’s Executive Director since 2015, will be leaving Squash Ontario to take on a new role as Squash Canada’s Director of Athlete Development.

After a successful nomination, three new Director Members were welcomed onto the Squash Ontario Board of Directors at the 2020 Annual General Meeting that took place on August 19th, virtually. Please join us in welcoming new Directors Brian Arlin, Leah Desbarres, and Vinit Kudva who will serve on the Board for a two year term, at minimum.

Every year, Squash Ontario celebrates the end of the squash season with both an Annual General Meeting and an Community Awards Ceremony. This year we were joined by several Ontario clubs and community members virtually for the first time ever and were pleasantly surprised at how great it was to see everyone, albeit behind their computers!

If you’ve been following along with our social media accounts, you’ve likely been reading about the squash legends and Hall of Fame members featured weekly as more and more photos and memories have been unearthed!

The Robert Brooks Scholarship Fund Board of Governors are pleased to announce the 2020 recipients of it's annual bursary to support students who have excelled in both academics and squash. After deliberating on a record number of applications received this year, the two students receiving bursaries are Alessia Ferris and Behrad Haghighi.

We are exceptionally fortunate and attract the dedicated, committed and enthusiastic people in the squash community in Ontario.

The Collingwood Squash & Fitness Centre owners Barb and Larry Hall are looking for a new squash and financial partner for the facility.

Over the past two years Squash Ontario partnered with Canadian Women & Sport along with another nine Provincial Sport Organizations in a program designed to audit current sport practices and find ways to better implement gender equity practices.
