Todd/Sachvie and Osborne/Gartenburg Clinch Ontario Doubles Open Titles, with the Sue Swift Memorial Trophy Unveiled

As the Men’s Open Leggat-Lawrence trophy attests, this event has been happening annually since 1961, until 2020 when a world wide pandemic put the event on hold for the first time since it’s inception. We are honoured to have so many doubles players return to this event and it wouldn’t have been a success without them.

McCue and Todd Named 2021 Bamboo Dental Ontario Closed Champions

The 2021 Bamboo Dental Ontario Closed Championships took place this past weekend at the Mayfair Parkway in Markham where close to 100 players competed in Open, A, B, C, or D draws. This was Squash Ontario’s first skill level Championship event since the courts have re-opened after the COVID shut down and it was so great to have seniors and juniors mixing together in draws.

We are very excited to share the news that our tournaments are BACK ON with the Ontario Masters Championships already come and gone and now we are gearing up for the Ontario Closed Championships happening on November 20-21 at the Mayfair Parkway in Markham. We are hoping you will consider joining us for Open, A, B, C, or D level competition, whatever you feel ready for after such a long hiatus from squash competition.

Squash Programming for Anyone with a Mental, Emotional or Physical Disability

Don’t miss the January 15th Try-It Day and the 8-week Squash Program starting on January 29th! The game of squash has been modified so it can now be taught to and enjoyed by persons with an intellectual, mental or emotional disability (i.e. Down’s Syndrome, Autism, ADHD, etc.) in a fully inclusive and safe environment. Participating in squash can increase one’s ability to learn, social skills, balance, coordination and fitness and most importantly self worth.
