Squash Ontario is pleased to share a mid-season update of the Jesters University League. Just when it looked like the university league wouldn’t be possible with the new school protocols our teams would have to follow this year, our amazing coaches, sponsors, and committee came together to make it work!
2022 Squash Tournament Line Up
Our 2022 winter schedule is now on our website including registration information, with the exception of the last few events where some event details are to be confirmed. The safety of our community is our top priority and Squash Ontario will be closely monitoring announcements or potential changes from the Ontario Government and will adjust our protocols for tournaments accordingly.

Mortgage Company of Canada Ontario Junior Closed Championships Awards 10 Junior Titles
The first half of the Ontario squash season calendar wrapped up with the pinnacle event of the Mortgage Company of Canada Ontario Junior Closed Championships hosted at Mayfair Lakeshore in Toronto. Nearly 100 junior athletes competed in what is either their final event of the 2021 calendar year, or the first Championship event in a series as many Ontario juniors will be competing in the Canadian Junior Open and the U.S. Junior Open in the next couple weeks.
Todd/Sachvie and Osborne/Gartenburg Clinch Ontario Doubles Open Titles, with the Sue Swift Memorial Trophy Unveiled
As the Men’s Open Leggat-Lawrence trophy attests, this event has been happening annually since 1961, until 2020 when a world wide pandemic put the event on hold for the first time since it’s inception. We are honoured to have so many doubles players return to this event and it wouldn’t have been a success without them.
McCue and Todd Named 2021 Bamboo Dental Ontario Closed Champions
The 2021 Bamboo Dental Ontario Closed Championships took place this past weekend at the Mayfair Parkway in Markham where close to 100 players competed in Open, A, B, C, or D draws. This was Squash Ontario’s first skill level Championship event since the courts have re-opened after the COVID shut down and it was so great to have seniors and juniors mixing together in draws.
