The 2023 Ontario Men’s Closed Championships took place this past weekend at the Glendon Athletic Club, home of the Squash Ontario office! With multiple divisions, many of which had full draws, we shut the club down both Friday and Saturday night, playing matches until closing time.

2023 YouFirst Financial Junior Closed Championships took place this past weekend at Mayfair Parkway. After a final day of extremely competitive matches, our top junior athletes battled their way to the podium and seven new champions were crowned.

Squash Ontario is teaming up with The Barre Teja for our online women & girls training program!  This is a 10 week program leading into our Ontario Open that includes daily workout videos and a group workout online once per week, all geared towards building strength and agility specifically for the squash athlete. Our goal is to offer physical training to the entire Ontario women's squash community so that they will see improvement on and off the court and will be physically ready to compete in tournaments.

We are officially in the heart of Provincials season, and this past weekend’s 2023 Ontario Doubles Championships kicked off the first of three consecutive championships in a row. The first doubles event of the season took place at Mayfair Parkway, Markham. Over 70 participants from across Ontario took part in an amazing weekend filled with competitive matches, team outfits and rowdy crowds!

The game of squash thrives when there is growth at the local and regional levels. Squash Ontario’s Community Awards program was created by the Board of Directors to recognize the contributions made by volunteers, corporations, officials, coaches and players at all levels of the game. The Ontario Squash Hall of Fame Board of Governors is pleased to announce that the 2024 Induction Ceremony will be held at the Granite Club in Toronto on 4 April 2024. The Hall was created in 2005 and the 2024 event will be the 10th induction ceremony held.

Just around the corner is our first Doubles Championship event of the year - the 2023 Ontario Doubles Championship! Jump into the competitive and social scene on the Mayfair Parkway doubles courts in two weekends from now.
