Ontario Inclusivity Squash Programs Are Coming!

Last year a brand new program was launched in Newfoundland called the Canadian Inclusivity Squash Program that catered to people with a mental or physical disability. Thanks to it's success, several new programs are popping up across the country, and Ontario is all set to host three of them in Toronto (Mayfair Lakeshore), Windsor (Windsor Squash & Fitness Club), and Newmarket (Masters Squash & Fitness)!

Squash Ontario was the successful recipient of Canadian Tire Jumpstart Sport Relief Funding that will support these three pilot programs this year with the shared goal to see more children and youth engage in physical activity throughout this pandemic. All three locations have set start dates of free December Open House or "Try-It Days" with the launch of 8-week programs to begin in January. All programs will be required to follow strict safety protocol, and dates may be subject to change as directed by provincial or municipal governments as the COVID-19 pandemic evolves.

Registration for the free Try-It Days and paid Squash Programs is now open. To learn more about the schedule, format and cost, please click on the link below and please share this opportunity with people you know in the Toronto, Newmarket, and Windsor area!

Sport plays a huge role in the health and well-being of kids and their families and are we are doing everything possible to help community sports continue. With Jumpstart’s support, we’ll be able to launch inclusive squash programs and create sustainable formats going forward. As we emerge from these challenging times, return to play will be more important than ever.
