The 2025 Canadian Junior Open Presented by Forthlane Partners held this past weekend at The Club at White Oaks and secondary venue Ridley College, was an extraordinary gathering of talent, bringing together some of the best junior squash players from Canada and around the world. As one of the premier international junior squash events, the competition featured intense matches and outstanding displays of skill and sportsmanship in a world-class setting from over 370 juniors.
Squash Ontario was proud to support and celebrate the achievements of our athletes who competed at this prestigious event.
When the dust settled, Ontario athletes delivered an outstanding performance on the national stage. Provincial athletes claimed four national titles, led by Shirley Chen (GU13), Chase Facchin (BU13), Obie Ryding (BU15), and Kent Rawlins (BU17), all earning gold in their respective divisions.
Ontario’s success extended well beyond the top step of the podium, with three silver medals captured by Nolan Ryding (BU13), Sasha Lee (GU17), and Shaan Jolly (BU17), alongside four bronze medals earned by Mikael Humayun (BU13), Olivia Bolger (GU17), Jack Chen (BU17), and Zoe Chong (GU19).
Altogether, Ontario athletes brought home 11 podium finishes, showcasing the depth of talent, competitiveness, and continued growth of junior squash across the province.
