This past weekend, Squash Ontario proudly hosted a high-energy Provincial Doubles Championship weekend at Mayfair Parkway and Toronto Cricket Club, bringing together 128 athletes from across the province for two premier events: the 2026 CM Concrete Ontario Mixed Doubles Championships and the 2026 CM Concrete Ontario Doubles Championships, both presented by YouFirst Financial.

Following the success of their combined debut in 2025, the two championships once again ran alongside each other, creating a vibrant, competitive atmosphere and a true celebration of doubles squash in Ontario.

A Weekend of High-Level Competition

The Ontario Mixed Doubles Championships, running January 15–17, welcomed over 56 entrants across a wide range of divisions, from Open to age categories and skill-based draws. With $2,000 in prize money on the line for the Mixed Open division, players delivered exciting matches throughout the weekend, showcasing teamwork, strategy, and fast-paced rallies.

At the same time, the Ontario Doubles Championships took place from January 16–18, drawing over 90 entrants across Open, A, B, and C divisions. With $2,000 in prize money awarded in both the Men’s and Women’s Open divisions, the level of play was outstanding, and the competition remained tight from first serve to final point.

The ability for players to compete in both a Mixed division and a Men’s or Women’s division added to the excitement of the weekend and reinforced the growing popularity of doubles squash across Ontario.

Squash Ontario would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who helped make this Provincial Doubles Championship weekend such a success.

Thank you to CM Concrete (Chris Milthorpe) and YouFirst Financial (Simon Chun) for their continued support of doubles squash in Ontario, to Mayfair Parkway (Cory McCartney), Tournament Referee Robert Dube, and the supporting Toronto Cricket Club for hosting an outstanding weekend of competition.
