Men’s 35+/40+ Doubles - Champions & Silver

The 2026 Weir Team Ontario Men’s Veterans Doubles Championships delivered another unforgettable weekend of classic doubles energy across Toronto.

With 39 teams competing, this year’s championship showcased the talent and passion within Ontario’s doubles community. Matches were played across four incredible venues — Toronto Racquet Club (TRC), The Badminton & Racquet Club, Royal Canadian Yacht Club (RCYC), and the Toronto Cricket Skating and Curling Club — allowing the tournament to run seamlessly on a busy winter weekend. A sincere thank you to RCYC, Cricket, and B&R for generously loaning their courts and supporting the event.

Players, partners, and supporters came together to enjoy not just great squash, but a true community celebration of the game. The Toronto Racquet Club served as the social hub under the guidance of Tournament Chair Luke McGoey, assistant Alex Spafford, and Tournament Referee Tim Mallory.

A major part of what makes this event so special year after year is the incredible support from its sponsors. From Friday evening’s outstanding dinner prepared by Chef Chris (thanks to Peter Sidgwick at TGG), to the mixed drink station courtesy of Mark Hinchcliffe and Hennessy & Hinchcliffe, Saturday pizza from Paul Smith of FCA Insurance, celebratory Caesars provided by the Ontario Squash Doubles League, complimentary wine from Michael Hobart (Fogler Rubinoff), and free draft beer all weekend thanks to Jon LeHeup at Ridley Windows — the generosity on display elevated the entire experience.
