Introducing Niki Aron to Squash Ontario!

Squash Ontario is pleased to officially welcome Niki Aron to the team as our Competitions Coordinator. Niki joined the organization in March and will be working on several programs with the organization, including tournaments, referee program, our High School Team Championships, and much more.

Niki’s addition to the team comes with a larger staff transition. First, William Kuhn will be culminating his term in with Squash Ontario in May as he transitions back into full time coaching. Will has made a significant impact on our organization over the past year, and we thank him for his contributions while wishing him all the best in his future endeavours. Next, Executive Director Lynsey Yates will be commencing a maternity leave beginning in May. Lauren Sachvie will act as Interim Executive Director when she returns from her own maternity leave late summer.

Niki comes to us with 25+ years of experience in the fitness and racquet sport industries. Over her career, she founded and scaled three successful fitness and wellness businesses. The past 7 years Niki contributed to not-for-profit organizations to expand access to racquet sports at Urban Squash Toronto and Columbus Centre Villa Charities.

Niki led squash specific initiatives at Urban Squash Toronto with organizations like Participaction and Canadian Tire’s Jumpstart ‘Play to Lead’ which focused on females in sport. As squash and community director, Niki led students in an after-school program through daily squash coaching and team events, including Squash Education Alliance tournaments in the US.

At Columbus Centre, Niki enhanced operational efficiency and delivered innovative programs with Squash Ontario like: Girls Learn to Play and a free after school program for high school students in the area. This met both business goals and community needs.

Niki has experience in coaching, organizing tournaments, house leagues, and she’s been a TDWSA executive member for 10 years. Her direct outreach boosts visibility and participation related to squash.

At her core, Niki is committed to creating environments where organizations and communities thrive together to grow the sport of squash.
