The Ontario Squash Hall of Fame (OSHOF) Board of Governors is pleased to announce several important leadership updates as the organization continues its mission of preserving and celebrating the rich history of squash in Ontario.
After years of dedicated service, Peter Hall is stepping down as Chair of the Board of Governors. The Board extends its sincere gratitude to Peter for his leadership, commitment, and contributions to the Ontario Squash Hall of Fame during his tenure as Chair.
The Board is also recognizing Tony Swift, who is stepping down from the Board of Governors. Tony's support and dedication to the Hall of Fame have helped strengthen the organization's efforts to honour the achievements and legacy of Ontario's squash community.
The Board is pleased to announce that Pat Richardson has been named the new Chair of the Ontario Squash Hall of Fame Board of Governors. Pat brings a deep passion for the sport and a strong commitment to preserving and promoting the history of squash in Ontario.
In addition, the Board is delighted to welcome Melanie Jans as its newest Board member.
Melanie has been an integral part of the Ontario squash community since first picking up a racquet in Georgetown, Ontario, and now coaching in Oakville. Throughout her distinguished career, she has earned recognition as a four-time National Champion, Pan American Games Gold Medallist, former National Women's Team Coach, and proud member of the Squash Ontario Hall of Fame (Class of 2015) and the Canadian Squash Hall of Fame (Class of 2022).
Melanie brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and passion for growing the sport, and the Board is excited to welcome her to the Ontario Squash Hall of Fame.
The Ontario Squash Hall of Fame thanks Peter Hall and Tony Swift for their years of service and looks forward to the leadership of Pat Richardson and the contributions of Melanie Jans.
