Squash Ontario is excited to share that Squash Canada is now accepting applications for the next phase of CANSquash, with up to 25 new squash clubs and facilities from across Canada being selected to deliver programming during Fall 2026.
Following a successful first year, CANSquash continues to expand its national reach by providing clubs with the tools and support needed to deliver fun, engaging, and consistent introductory squash programming for participants of all ages and abilities.
What is CANSquash?
CANSquash is Squash Canada's standardized national curriculum for players and coaches. Built on Squash Canada's Long-Term Development (LTD) framework, the program provides coaches and volunteers with structured lesson plans, participant resources, and a clear pathway for introducing new players to the sport while supporting their ongoing development.
By joining CANSquash, clubs become part of a growing national network committed to delivering high-quality squash experiences and helping more Canadians discover the game.
Who Can Apply?
Applications are open to squash clubs and facilities that:
Are current member clubs/facilities in good standing with their Provincial or Territorial Sport Organization (PTSO).
Have a lead coach who is NCCP Certified, along with additional staff who are NCCP Trained.
Have coaches and volunteers who have completed the required Safe Sport training.
Are committed to delivering a CANSquash program during Fall 2026.
Can support a minimum of six participants.
Are willing to provide feedback and program information to help continue developing the CANSquash program.
Please note:
Organizations do not need to be registered as not-for-profit organizations.
Participants must be individual members of their respective PTSO.

Key Dates
July 1 – July 31, 2026: Applications Open
August 2026: Application Review & Club Selection
September – December 2026: Program Delivery
Successful applicants will be notified during August, allowing plenty of time to prepare, promote, and launch their programs.
Applications will be evaluated based on club readiness, coaching qualifications, Safe Sport compliance, and geographic representation across Canada.
Information Session
Interested clubs are encouraged to attend Squash Canada's virtual information session on Tuesday, July 14 at 1:00 p.m. ET, where the program, application process, and expectations will be reviewed, along with a live Q&A.
