After another summer on the road, the Dunlop Mini Court Summer Tour has officially wrapped up — and 2026 was our biggest year yet.
This summer, Squash Ontario brought the Mini Court to 11 festivals, markets, community celebrations, and sport activations across Ontario. Collectively, these events welcomed an estimated 80,000 attendees, putting squash in front of thousands of people who may never have encountered the sport before.
While overall event attendance topped 80,000, hundreds of participants stepped onto the Mini Court at each stop, with thousands of children, families, and community members picking up a racquet and trying squash throughout the summer.
Bringing Squash to New Communities
The goal of the Dunlop Mini Court Tour is simple: bring squash to people where they already live, play, and gather. From returning favourites to brand-new partnerships, this year's tour introduced squash to new audiences across the province.
One standout stop was Yonge & Eglinton Square in Toronto, where the activation generated more than 50 commitments from participants interested in attending an introductory clinic at Squashabout.
“Having the mini court in a public setting was fantastic and very worthwhile. It gave a lot of people their first exposure to squash and generated some great potential leads for future members and clients.”

At the Georgetown Downtown Farmers Market, the court stayed busy throughout the day with families and children lining up to play.
“There were lots of times where we had kids lining up to try it. There was a lot of interest from young families.”

In Cambridge, the Mini Court joined Racquets in the Square, a celebration of racquet sports featuring tennis, badminton, pickleball, table tennis, and squash. The event attracted hundreds of visitors and helped connect local clubs with new participants in the community.
Rain, Heat, and an Inflatable Court
Ontario weather threw everything at the tour this summer — extreme heat, rain delays, and sudden storms.
At Oakville Canada Day, the Squash Ontario team stayed through a weather pause before reopening later that evening, with the inflatable court helping keep the activation going when conditions changed.

The inflatable court also proved to be a valuable backup at several other events, allowing participants to continue experiencing squash despite unpredictable summer weather.
