The first installment of this season's Black Knight Player of the Month celebrates a great start to the 2017-18 campaign by 4 worthy squash stars that had exceptional Septembers and Octobers on the Court. Congratulations this month to Nicole Garon, Howard Armitage, Iman Shaheen and Daniel Deverill.

From June 18-24 the 2018 Pan American Junior Squash Championships will take place in Brasília, Brazil. Squash Canada is looking to field a contingent of players as a key development opportunity for the country’s top ranked junior players.

Two of Canada’s top officials have recently been named to the officiating teams at two major international events.

A group of TAG Fitness members lead by Rod Brown, Murray and Gail Scott, and Larry & Barbara Hall have bought the assets of TAG Fitness and will operate the Club as the Collingwood Squash and Wellness Centre beginning seamlessly on October 3rd.

The organization is calling for applications from qualified candidates for a re-defined High Performance Director role, a part-time contracted Athlete Pathway Manager, and a Program Coordinator.  The application deadline for all three positions is October 27, 2017.

After wrapping up the Squash Canada Men’s Team Trials in Montreal this past weekend, the squad set to represent Canada at the 2017 Men’s World Team Championships in Marseille, France, has been confirmed.  Nick Sachvie, Andrew Schnell, Shawn De Lierre, and Mike McCue will don the red and white when they hit the courts in France, November 26 to December 3.

From the Aquarena Squash Club in St. John’s, Newfoundland to the Nanaimo Squash Club in Nanaimo, British Columbia and as far north as the Inuvik Squash Club in Inuvik Northwest Territories, people were playing squash on September 30th.
