Ottawa, ON, May 29, 2019 - The Canadian Sport Helpline is a new initiative to ensure that all Canadians participating in sport can do so in a safe and welcoming environment, regardless of the role they play. Safe sport is everyone’s responsibility, and the national toll-free helpline offers assistance to victims and witnesses of harassment, abuse, discrimination, and bullying.

One of the most successful junior cohorts in recent Squash Ontario history added another feather to their caps this past weekend as the Canadian Women’s Junior National Team will be made up off entirely Ontario athletes. Congratulations to Charlotte Orcutt and Brianna Jefferson who were selected to the team earlier in the month based on two seasons worth of results and Erica McGillicuddy and Molly Chadwick who clinched their spots at trials this past weekend at the Toronto Cricket Club.

Mortgage Company of Canada Silver Championships
The 2018-19 Junior Silver series wrapped up this past weekend with the Mortgage Company of Canada Junior Silver Championships at Mayfair Lakeshore. The Silver events are an important step in the Squash Ontario Athlete Development Pathway, where athletes will graduate into the Gold and Provincial level events next season and gain exposure to international quality competition.

Clive Caldwell, Peter Frost and Vincent Taylor, Hall of Fame Class of 2019
The Granite Club welcomed 150 guests at the April 4th Ontario Squash Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, where three new Hall of Fame members inducted as the Class of 2019: Clive Caldwell, Peter Frost, and Vincent Taylor. Clive, Peter and Vincent with now join the 25 current members of the Ontario Squash Hall of Fame who have been inducted since the Hall’s 2005 inauguration.
