The Squash Community Says Goodbye to Sandy Morgan

It is with regret that we inform you of the passing of Sandy Morning on the evening of February 21st, 2018.

Sandy held the Manager/Pro position at KW Racquet Club for nearly 25 years and worked at other clubs, including the Badminton & Racquet Club beforehand. His contributions to the KW Racquet club during those years were boundless and his influence on the members far exceeded his brilliance on the squash court, resulting in countless lifelong friendships off the court as well. Most notable was Sandy's passion and commitment to junior squash.

Sandy's legacy will forever be alive and well on KWRC's Singles Court 2, named the 'Sandy Morgan Court' in 1997 to honour his retirement from the club. Sandy will be remembered fondly by many at KWRC.

At the family's request, donations can be made c/o The KW Racquet Club for the "Sandy Morgan Junior Development Fund."

Our thoughts go out to Jay and the rest of his family.

Obituary of Edward "Sandy" Morgan

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Sandy Edward Morgan announces his passing at home on February 21, 2018

Leaving behind in grief, his wife Susan and three children Tara, Jay (Barb) and Marna (Eric and his children Emma, Jessica and Ben) and granddaughter Samantha.

In the middle 1950’s, Sandy decided to expand his university education by beginning a two-year backpacking and hitchhiking exploration of 40 countries on three continents. On his return to Canada, he parlayed his love for tennis and squash in a 31-year career as an accredited professional.  Dedication to a full and wonderful family life was his major goal in life!
