The 2025 Ontario Championships (East) Presented by Ottawa Tourism and CGG Squash capped off this year’s provincial championship series in style, bringing two days of competition, great sportsmanship, and community connection to the RA Squash Club in Ottawa from November 1–2, with over 40 players on the draw.
This event featured the Men’s Open (with $5,000 in total prize money shared between the Men’s and Women’s Open divisions) alongside the exciting Tiered Draws, which were launched for the first time this season. The energy at the RA Squash Club was electric as players battled it out across multiple divisions.
A huge thank-you goes out to Tournament Referee Mikola Czich, who ensured fair play and smooth operations throughout the event, and to the RA Squash Club staff and volunteers for their warm hospitality and tireless work in making the weekend a success.
This event wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of our presenting sponsors, Ottawa Tourism and CGG Squash, whose partnership helped deliver a memorable experience for all athletes and attendees.
The Ontario Championships (East) marked a fun launch of this year’s provincial championship series, showcasing the strength and enthusiasm of Ontario’s squash community as we head into the exciting season ahead. Instead of a singular “Fall” championship event, usually taking place in the GTA, it was important to the Squash Ontario team to see this event split into two East and West venues, thereby accessing venues outside of the GTA and bringing provincial championship events to new players and new cities. We hope to expand on this in future years!
