Season Updates for Junior Players:
All Ontario Junior Gold events this season will be sanctioned as Squash Canada NJC Gold-level events. The 2026 Ontario Junior Open will remain an NJC Platinum-level event.
The Ontario Silver Circuit will feature a new one-day format and additional division changes to boost participation. More details about the division changes will be forthcoming.
All athletes competing in the U19, U17 and U15 age categories of a Provincial Championship or Gold event are required to complete the Club Official Certification. This mandate was first introduced in 2018 and will be re-engaged this season, following the same mandate for national events.
Season Updates for All Players:
The Ontario Championships in October will feature our first ever "Tiered" draws where all A-E skill level players will register for one single draw - either the Men's Tiered Draw or the Women's Tiered Draw. After registration closes players will be divided into eight-person "tiers" based on their rating. The top 8 rated players will be in Tier #1 as a unique division, players rated in the 9-16 spots will be in Tier #2 as another unique division, players 17-24 will be in Tier #3 as another unique division, etc. The final group may play a round robin if there are 7 players or less. Tiered divisions have a limit of 80 players and registration will be first come, first served.
All Provincial Championship participants who are aged 14 or older will be required to complete the Club Official Certification. This is following the same mandate for national events.
