Under the Hennessy & Hinchcliffe and Slaight Music banner, a successful Ontario Women’s Veterans Doubles Championship took place at the Mayfair Lakeshore under the guidance of Tournament Organizer Lolly Gillen, with help from Diane Naughton. The wine and cheese was flowing all weekend in the court lounge thanks to Mayfair staff and Leslie Freeman and Cathy Tuckwell played dual Tournament Referee and Competitor roles.

OTTAWA, ON, January 14, 2019 – Team Ontario has won the 2019 Canadian Masters Team Championship in a come from behind match winning 4-3 over Team Alberta. The tension filled final hosted by Squash Outaouais (Sporthèque) in Gatineau, Quebec capped an eventful weekend of high-level squash and comradery amongst the 63 competitors from the nine teams from across Canada.
Juniors Switch Over to the Doubles Court for the 2019 Ontario Junior Doubles Championships
The Granite Club, under the guidance of Jessica DiMauro and her Granite Club team (the home of the Junior Doubles Championships) hosted the 11th annual Junior Doubles Championships on January 11-13, challenging junior players to take on doubles competition. This event was originally a National Championship, but with Ontario players dominating the event, it has now been facilitated as a Provincial Championship for three years.
