Ottawa, ON (February 3, 2021) – Due to ongoing developments and uncertainty related to the COVID-19 pandemic, Squash Canada is announcing changes to its 2021 Canadian Championship squash season.

The Ontario Squash Hall of Fame was created in 2005 by Squash Ontario to promote a greater awareness of the history and by recognizing individuals for their outstanding achievements and exceptional contributions to the game; and to preserve the heritage of the game. Every sport should have a home for heroes – the individuals who over the years were responsible for the growth and development of the game. We guarantee our future when we honour our past.

Please join us in welcoming Canadian Insurance Brokers Inc. (CIBI) as a new corporate partner with Squash Ontario. CIBI is no stranger to working with sport clubs and coaches, and we are excited to have the support of it’s Vice President Sean Bell, an active squash player in Toronto.

With thanks to our many generous donors, Squash Ontario surpassed it’s goal of 300 racquets donated through both financial contributions and donated gently used racquets! A total of 336 Racquets were donated!

The 2023 Canada Winter Games are coming up in P.E.I in two years and Squash Ontario is looking to fill two coaching positions for Team Ontario. This is an exciting opportunity to work with Team Ontario for two years leading up to and including the Games.

It is a tremendous pleasure to announce the appointment of Lynsey Yates, to the position of Executive Director for Squash Ontario.

Last year a brand new program was launched in Newfoundland called the Canadian Inclusivity Squash Program that catered to people with a mental or physical disability. Thanks to it's success, several new programs are popping up across the country, and Ontario is all set to host three of them in Toronto (Mayfair Lakeshore), Windsor (Windsor Squash & Fitness Club), and Newmarket (Masters Squash & Fitness)!

Squash Ontario’s School Squash Program has never been more important when so many clubs and courts are closed. A donation to our School Squash Program will see that more students than ever before will receive squash education in their school gymnasiums. This is our best chance to expose new players to the game right now!

We are pleased to share that Natasha Seth from Guelph, Ontario, will be joining the Squash Ontario Board of Directors as it's 7th member, effective October 7th.
