Squash Canada has recently announced the highly anticipated team that will represent Canada at the prestigious 2023 WSF World Junior Championships in Melbourne, Australia. The event will be held from July 18th to 29th and will consist of Men’s and Women’s Individual competition and the World Junior Women’s Team Championships.

This past Wednesday, we hosted our premier fundraising event - The Lucky Number 21 Charity Golf Classic Presented by Dowling I.D.A. at Pheasant Run Golf Club. The event was a huge success courtesy our wonderful golfers, donors and sponsors. Fortunately, the rain stopped just in time for the shotgun start and golfers were treated to a sunny round - our fastest round ever!

As reported by Squash Canada, the 2023 Pan American Squash Championships in Cartagena, Colombia have come to a close and Team Canada has walked away with some serious hardware, securing Canada’s spot at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile.

Twelve students in Grades 7 through 12 at St. Jude’s Academy, an IB continuum school, in Mississauga, were given the opportunity to give the sport of squash a try.  A few have had experience playing squash before, but for most it is the first time trying the sport. Thanks to the help from Meadowvale Community Centre’s fitness supervisor, Carol Mio, the students were given the opportunity to use the beautiful squash courts at the Meadowvale Community Centre.  

Canada’s very own Reinaldo Rivas from Vaughan, Ontario took on the very important role of Technical Director at the 2023 PANAM Champs in Cartagena. Before he started coaching at the Parkview Club and now the Richmond Hill Squash Club, he played #1 for Venezuela between 1991 and 2000.
