Mark your calendars and get your entries in — the 2026 Ontario Open Championships Presented by NFP Canada are coming to Toronto March 20–22, 2026, and this is one event you won’t want to miss.

To close out the university squash season, eight participating schools traveled to White Oaks for the OUA Championships from February 6-8. With an energetic crowd behind them, the Western Mustangs men’s and women’s teams captured OUA gold, asserting their dominance on the court. Continuing from last year, Western Women defended their OUA title with a decisive 6-1 victory over Queen’s in the final. In the 3rd place playoff, The University of Toronto claimed bronze with a 5-2 win over Waterloo.   

It is a great pleasure for the Board of Governors to announce that five extraordinary individuals will be inducted into the Ontario Squash Hall of Fame in 2026. The Board congratulates Sabir Butt, Paul Deratnay, Jessica DiMauro, Lolly Gillen, David Howard who will be inducted on April 8th at the Granite Club in Toronto.

The 2026 Weir Team Ontario Men’s Veterans Doubles Championships delivered another unforgettable weekend of classic doubles energy across Toronto.

The 2026 Ontario Junior Doubles Squash Championships wrapped up another fantastic edition this past weekend, welcoming all junior athletes to The Granite Club in Toronto for a weekend filled with competitive, fast-paced, and fun doubles squash. The energy in the club—from players, families, coaches, and supporters—created an unforgettable atmosphere and made the event a resounding success once again.

The 2026 RK4 Canadian Master’s Teams Championship took place in Montréal, with Team Ontario earning a hard-fought silver medal at Club Sportif Côte de Liesse (CDL).

This past weekend, Pickering Squash Club played host to a special double-header on the Squash Ontario calendar: the Lee Hanebury Memorial Tournament alongside the Ontario Women’s Veterans Doubles Championships.

The Squash Ontario junior community is truly where the “leaders of tomorrow play junior squash today”; a very special collection of junior athletes making a difference in the world from around the province. With thanks to the vision of the Jesters of Ontario, we will once again recognize the brightest lights of 2025-26 in sportspersonship, on-court excellence, commitment to improvement and coaching achievement. 

The Ontario Regional Masters Team Tournament is back for 2026, bringing together squash players from across the province for a fun, social, and competitive team-based weekend. Hosted at The Club at White Oaks from February 20–22, 2026, this event is all about regional pride and connecting with fellow masters players.
