Western Goes Undefeated, Winning the Jesters League and OUA Championships
To close out the university squash season, eight participating schools traveled to White Oaks for the OUA Championships from February 6-8. With an energetic crowd behind them, the Western Mustangs men’s and women’s teams captured OUA gold, asserting their dominance on the court. Continuing from last year, Western Women defended their OUA title with a decisive 6-1 victory over Queen’s in the final. In the 3rd place playoff, The University of Toronto claimed bronze with a 5-2 win over Waterloo.
Butt, Deratnay, DiMauro, Gillen, and Howard to be Inducted into the Ontario Squash Hall of Fame
It is a great pleasure for the Board of Governors to announce that five extraordinary individuals will be inducted into the Ontario Squash Hall of Fame in 2026. The Board congratulates Sabir Butt, Paul Deratnay, Jessica DiMauro, Lolly Gillen, David Howard who will be inducted on April 8th at the Granite Club in Toronto.

The 2026 Ontario Junior Doubles Squash Championships wrapped up another fantastic edition this past weekend, welcoming all junior athletes to The Granite Club in Toronto for a weekend filled with competitive, fast-paced, and fun doubles squash. The energy in the club—from players, families, coaches, and supporters—created an unforgettable atmosphere and made the event a resounding success once again.
