Over this past weekend, 24 Canadian Junior Athletes, 15 of which were from Ontario, travelled to the Arlen Specter Us Squash Centre (Philidelphia, PA) to compete in the 19th Annual Battle of the Border against Team USA. The event was held from August 7-10, where Team USA won the battle. This long-standing event brought together elite Canadian and American players in the U17, U15, and U13 categories.
Squash Ontario has now posted all Junior, Provincial Championship, and select Community events for the upcoming season on our events calendar. These tournaments are now visible on Club Locker, with registration for all tournaments opening Friday, August 1st, 2025. Canadian junior athletes are heading to Egypt for the 2025 World Squash Junior Championships, taking place from July 21 to August 1 in Cairo. The event will feature both junior men’s and women’s individual and team competitions. Canada is sending a strong and diverse team, blending experienced veterans with exciting new talent — including several standout athletes from Squash Ontario.
It was a strong showing for Canada’s junior athletes—particularly those from Squash Ontario—at the 2025 Pan American Junior Championships, held June 29 to July 5 in Santiago, Chile. Competing against top athletes from across the Americas, Canada brought home two medals in the team events: a silver for the junior women and a bronze for the junior men.
